Cancellation & Refund Policy

Road to Languages

Thank you for choosing Road to Languages for your language learning experience. I will do my best to provide you with the lessons, schedule, and instruction that meet your needs. If you need to reschedule or cancel, the following Cancellation and Refund Policy applies:

 

Lesson Cancellation & Rescheduling

The student may reschedule or postpone a lesson with at least 24-hour prior notice to the regular scheduled time slot.  With at least 24-hour notice, the student may reschedule to an available time slot during the week, or postpone the lesson to the regular scheduled time slot on the following week, without charge.

 

Late Cancellations

A cancellation is considered late when the lesson(s) is cancelled with less than 24-hour notice before the scheduled time. In this case, the lesson will be counted as one of the lessons from the package, or charged in the case of a single lesson purchase.

 

No-Shows

Students who do not show up during a scheduled lesson are considered no-shows. If the student is a no-show, the lesson will be counted as one of the lessons from the package, or charged in the case of a single lesson purchase.

 

Late Arrivals 

If a student arrives more than 15 minutes after the schedule start time, the student will be considered a no-show and the lesson will be counted as one of the lessons from the package, or charged in the case of a single lesson purchase.  The teacher will wait for the student for 15 minutes before considering the student a no-show before logging off. If the student arrives within the first 15 minutes of the lesson, the teacher will work with the student until the end of the originally scheduled hour-long lesson.

 

Cancellation by the Teacher

If the teacher needs to cancel a lesson, the student will be given 24-hour notice and will be given the option to reschedule the lesson or postpone the lesson to the regular scheduled time slot the following week. If the teacher is unable to give 24-hr notice, the student may reschedule to an available time slot during the week, postpone the lesson to the regular scheduled time slot the following week, or receive a refund for the missed lesson.

Refunds of Completed Lessons

There will be no refunds for completed lessons. Students are welcome to take the Free 1-hr Trial Lesson before signing up for paid lessons.

 

Refunds on Unused Package Lessons

If a Lessons Package has been purchased and a refund is requested for an unused lesson(s), discounted package rates no longer apply.

 

To give an example:

 

  • You purchased a Package Discount of 8 (1-on-1) Lessons for $560 ($70/hr.)

  • Non-discount rate is $85hr.

  • After 2 lessons you canceled the remaining lessons.

  • The two used lessons are charged at the non-discount/single lesson price of $85.

  • You are refunded $560– ($85 x 2) = $390 refund.

  • As with all other cancellations, refund requests must be made at least 24 hours prior to the next scheduled lesson.

 

Refunds Issued to Credit Card  

Refunds will be credited to the credit card with which you made the original purchase. Please allow 3-5 business days for credit.
