I fell in love with Spanish during my very first high school class, captivated by the language's beauty and the vibrant cultures of Spanish-speaking communities.

As a native English speaker who achieved fluency in Spanish, I bring both personal experience and extensive qualifications to my teaching. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, a California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Spanish, and a CLAD (Crosscultural, Language and Academic Development) Certificate. My training in Kagan Cooperative Learning informs my interactive approach to student engagement and language acquisition.

My connection to Spanish extends beyond the classroom. I lived in Mexico for two years and use Spanish daily with family, friends, and students. My husband and I have successfully raised two bilingual children, demonstrating my commitment to language immersion as a lifestyle.

With over 20 years of experience teaching Spanish and ESL (English as a Second Language) across multiple educational settings—including adult education, high school, and elementary levels—I've helped learners from diverse language backgrounds achieve their communication goals. For 19 years, I taught at an Adult School in Silicon Valley, CA, working with both community members and in-custody students at a Correctional Facility.

In spring 2020, I launched Road to Languages, embracing online instruction as a fun, fruitful, and effective teaching medium.
